Electric Generator

Just a simple electric generator

Can anyone tell me if this is a feasable consideration? My theory is to power a generator by removing the engine and conecting pedals etc and using pedal power! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow my group has to present are physic project and we did a simple generator. We did not get it to work but my teacher said it was fine because he said we generated energy or something like that because the wires were getting hot. So tomorrow my group have to explain how it works and how it has to do with physics. Can you give me answer so I can easily comprehend because my group has to talk about and I have to learn about these things

and whats the relationship of power and force?

Lets say electric generator #1 has a stronger permanent magnet, and generator #2 is the same as generator one, except for ONLY having a weaker permanent magent.

does this mean that to spin generator #1 at the same speed as a generator #2, you need to exert more "Force" on generator #1 than you do on gen. #2? by "force" i mean the physics definition M*A.

i wanna make an electric generator using magnet for my project.

low emf to high emf, or vice versa

I have progress energy here in Raleigh, NC and they charge {content}.10 per kilowatt which is outrageous. They are also a monopoly. I no option to switch electric companies. The home is 2300 square feet and is all electric. No gas appliances. Would it be possible to switch to a generator and just buy gas when needed? If so, how long would it be before I notice the savings?

Automatic devices such as mechanical watches are self-winding. could we use similar technology for power generation?

How I made generator with Px 150 engine.

it should be a little compact and should have a higher efficiency that can generate more current.

Also, which is quieter? which has the least amount of problems?

Isn’t an electric motor just a generator in reverse?

im working on a project to rig something to shock people and i was wondering if i could use the hand crank generator idea….i figured if i put a magnet on something that spins and put a coil of copper wire next to it and somehow get them to touch the coil, would this work and if not does anybody have anymore ideas?

You see….I’m looking to have my power shutt off because as a single mother with only one income, I cannot afford the bill anymore. Just looking for other options.

I need an electric generator to produce about 0.35 volts for 2 seconds. The electric generator will be driven by a falling pendulum, so I need it to be very low friction. Does anyone know where I could get an electric motor or generator that would accomplish this?! Thanks for your help!!

My diesel electric generator has a sticker that says "Change oil every 100hrs. Use 10w-30 grade CC." But I can’t find this oil anywhere. The closest I have found are 10w-30 Mobil1 synthetic oil (API SM/CF) and 15w-40 Pennzoil gold (with diesel protection, API CJ, CI, CF etc. /SM). Which one should I use?

Just like the potato or lemon used as electric generator, but it’s common already. I’m looking for possible and unique ideas I can use for my science investigatory project.

i need the electric generator to power a 0.5hp electric motor pump. ideally 900W power is sufficient to run the motor but the problem is startup power surge. it seems i need more juice from the generator.

Would the construction be the same for an AC/DC generator (what’s the difference between the two?)?
On a side note, what’s the difference between an electric generator and an electric motor? Thanks a lot.
